What is it? An Interface Sealing Membrane is a fire-classified material that’s bonded to window and façade interfaces to provide a watertight and airtight seal. Where is it used? Using fire-classified Paste Adhesive, Interface Sealing Membranes are used specifically to provide watertight & airtight seal around windows, doors, curtain walling and board/slab-edge interfaces and many other applications Why do we use it? We use Interface Sealing Membranes at these specific locations because they meet the demanding weathering performance requirements at high risk locations, and they also meet the fire classifications required by Regulation 7 and Approved Document B. ISM’s (Interface Sealing Membranes)
What ageing testing is required? 90-day 70°C heat age (EN 1296) – Tested to EN 1931 (WVT) and/or EN 1928 watertightness (2kPa for 24 hours)
